Decent Eichel trade, the Habs probably won’t offer that much, the black hawks trade seems bad for both sides.

It's an interesting offer despite taking on one of the worst contracts in the league with Skinner, but doubt the Hawks would accept and or Kane waive. Hawks are rebuilding but turning things around quickly enough that they are going to look for players who provide an immediate impact and Kane provides that and would leave a massive hole at RW where the Hawks are already short a top 9 guy on RW. Reinhardt, Cozens, Skinner and (2) 1sts. One first to get ride of Skinner, Cozens and Reinhardt and a 1st for Kane.

why would you not, you might lose a 1 maybe 2 of Elite kane but you just replenished your whole future, Dach, Cozens is an incredible 1-2, you have established young wingers, and a solid D your window would open right back up.

This is a teribble deal for Buf

Why would a rebuilding team (Buffalo) trade away 4 futures?

Not to mention Kane wouldn’t waive to play there.

People are quick to say Chicago says no.. But with 4 solid futures.. they definately think about it.. no one else is gonna offer that up for Kane!

Kane maybe waives his NMC to go to his Hometown. With 2 rings, his priority isn't necessarily winning anymore.

For Buffalo, they essentially trade Eichel and Cozens for Kane, Strome and Chytil ... while also Getting rid of Skinner awful contract.

How is that a bad outcome?

    *3 rings

You don't know Kane if you think winning isn't his priority anymore

You traded away Cozens and Kravtsov, as well as two first round picks from a rebuilding team.

Rebuilding teams don’t trade futures for aging stars. Yes Kane is good, but it is also very likely those 4 futures turn out to be top 6 / top 4 players. And I am sure Buffalo would rather have 4 good players for a long time instead of a very good player for a few years.

    That’s the issue.

Did they offer much?? They've been trying to dump Byron. Poehling has one freaky hat trick game in his career. Armia is an ufa. Their 1st is in the 20s or higher if they don't draw Toronto in the first rd of the playoffs.

Sabres retain half on Hall and trade for Poehling and Montreal 1st is less attractive than 1st, Poehling and Byron for Montreal....

Kane likes Chicago more than Buffalo first of all and second it would cost Cozens just to take Skiner

Because the sabres get significantly worse and have a shortened window with Kane
