Weber hasn't been good this year. I also don't think Subban falls off had he stayed in MTL.

DeBrincat was not on Timmins list, he would have drafted Girard tho if he had a 2nd that year

      Pacioretty wouldn’t have extend here

      Weber >> Subban

Hugues was a reach in 2018, no teams were picking him top5

The only trade I was surprise Bergevin did was Sergachev vs Drouin

The fact that Debricat wasn't ont Timmons list is a fault on Timmons. The fact that Paciorrety would not extend is due to the fact that Bergevin did not stand behind his captain and made him shoulder all the blame, look at how good hes been in Vegas. As I said, either u take Hughes or Tkachuk, BUT Kotkaniemi was def the wrong pick.

Had they actually drafted Hughes, I would have kept Weber since Hughes is a nightmare in his own end they need a guy who can actually play in his own end.

No I'm saying the Hughes pick would be okay. Should they do that, keep Weber, since he can at least play in his own end.

      Better than having Weber 🧐

Subban comes off the books fairly soon

      Weber naturally not

Drafting was terrible. Glachenyuk pick, Kotkaniemi pick and not to mention that he took macaron one pick ahead of shea Theodore amongst many other terrible picks.

Alot of this is valid and good

The Forsberg pick really is hindsight 20/20

I was a big fan of Fil back then too but wouldn't have taken him higher than like 6 and Galchenyuk was a fantastic prospect we all thought he was a sure thing

Definitely but that habs made the mistake of not realizing he had attitude issues, as well as the fact that they brought him up as a winger when they drafted him as a center

KK is fine. fans expect connor mcdavid 1 year after a 1st rder gets drafted. 5 years down the road, he'll be better then hughes and a more impactful player. lots of teams missed on shea theodore bud. lots of teams missed on braydon point. as soon as he's kept his 2nd rd picks, he's done well. im astounded you think the pacioretty trade is bad, when that is probably the best trade he has ever made. i mean tatar is close to points in pac since the trade and suzuki is just getting started.

bergy really didn't have time to decide. he wanted morgan reilly but the pressure was to draft the center.

KK really isn't good and does not posses the raw talent that makes you think he'll drastically improve. Also read what I wrote about Pacioretty, I never said it was a bad trade. His drafting has been terrible. Nikita sherback, Mccaron, Juulsen, Kotkaniemi and galchenyuk all first rounders drafted by Bergevin, only one in the NHL right now.

Unsign Toffoli since Montreal is ~1.6 mil over the cap with a 20 player roster....

Let's not forget how many teams missed out on Debrincat here... Dude was taken in the second round. I hate the Habs, but the Leafs drafted Korshkov before him...

if you’re gonna do all this you should probably give romanov and danault to chicago for free (fleischmann/weise). And if you’re gonna have them reach for forsberg you might as well also have them draft shea theodore, thatcher demko, and anthony beauvillier in the following years as well
