Description

The same offer to Columbus can be made to Arizona for Kuemper. Elvis is 4 years younger. While Kuemper has a longer track-record of good results. Both are performing at a level Freddie hasn't in some time now and have another year under contract. Obviously the biggest move of the three, I just have no faith in Freddie winning a game by himself anymore.

Glendening is an elite faceoff center with the bonus of being a right-hand shot. Perfect insurance if something happened to Spezza. Glendening should take every draw on the PK and important D-zone faceoffs.

Jordie Benn is a solid veteran. Can play either side of the ice, which is important. Aside from being insurance, he may be a better option on the third pairing defensively, and adding some size and nastiness to the PK.

Sorry to Jumbo, but I think if he wants to be on a Cup winner it may have to be as a part-time player.

Oh we are going to retain just not his contract. We have staal, nemeth, bernier making more that we are going to retain on. We would rather just take back a stupid contract that you have to offset it with LGD.

I mean Derek Grant was traded for a 4th and a C prospect (no retention) and he had 14 goals at the time last deadline.

I am a big fan of Glendening, IMO he would be an awesome addition to the Leafs. He gets a 4th no retention or a 4th plus B prospect with retention. Just a guess obviously

There's absolutely noway Detroit would retain on LGD, He only makes $1.8 million Yzerman would only retain on contracts $3 million plus.

I said this site's VERSION of the grammar police.

That's people, who I can only guess are shut-ins, that seem to follow this site daily, making thousands of posts, complaining that every 3rd round pick should be a 2nd round pick.

Wow. This seems like a true exercise in futility.

No, you didn't. In my attempts to not get the "typical Leaf fan expecting something for nothing" I tried to offer deals I thought were overpayments. In doing so, you get the "look at this putrid deal". There's really no winning on this site. I'm just a make belief GM, trying address some team needs, that's all. Not upset at all.
