Description

It’s apparent that the sabres need a shake up and obviously are gunna get a huge return on eichel. I’m a habs fan so I’m biased obviously but I think this is a fair return. Suzuki looks to be a budding star, caufield one of the most promising prospects in all of hockey, Tatar a cap dump more less but would be a good signing for Buffalo if they can resign him, and mete slides right into the line up. I think this deal makes both teams better even though I know habs fans will be against trading Suzuki, but players like eichel change a franchise. Let me know what you think

I like it. Realistically giving up Suzuki for eichel is well worth it. Would suck to give up Caufield before ever playing with the Habs but it’s the price you gotta pay. Think it makes the Habs better

I would prefer to keep eichel and if we can't keep him trade him out of atleast the division. But there is some value there of Tatar resigns

Also, eichel is hurt and will be out a while so we are talking about an offseason move at the earliest

I think the Habs are better off having two 60+ pts player than one 85pts Eichel for the same cap down the road.

Caufield will be on ELC for 3 years, and Suzuki on a bridge deal... Eichel is already paid 10M for a guy that can't seem to inspire his teammate.

Habs should pass
