Merzlinkins will cost you the most tbh, Kumper 2nd and Ullmark the least. I’d say Kuemper is the best of the 3, but Merzlinkins is exempt from the expansion draft.

That's sorta how I ranked them too. I didn't know Elvis was exempt, that's an added bonus for sure.

I looked at him as well, you're right, all avenues should be explored. If this truly is the year we're all-in, we NEED better goaltending. And I'm not a Freddie hater, just being realistic. Vancouver and Winnipeg losses, we outplayed them and got beat by the better goalie.

I definitely wouldn’t mind giving up liljegren if it meant getting blackwood.

Maybe something like Andersen + Liljegren + 2nd

We definitely need better goaltending. A goalie who can make saves when we need them. They don’t have to be flashy, they just have to keep the puck out of the net.

It was 15 minutes and 3 shots but I'm glad he's getting another look in the NHL. Stellar guy, wish he wasn't sacrificed in the team's pursuit to fire Babcock last year.

Everyone complains about Anderson but the 3 goals that got passed him were not his fault. Goal 1 and 2 were caused by defensive errors caused by Dermott and Holl and Stasnys goal was caused by a Matthews turnover and a lucky Stasny tip

I dont think NJD would want to trade blackwood based on how good he is doing behind such a crappy defence core and they dont really have another goalie and if andersen cant stop a beachball behind the leafs defence then forget him having any success in NJ

Blackwood is up there with Vasilevskiy in the untouchable goalie section.

Big saves are when you have "no chance", you know, the kind we've watched Hellebuyck and Demko make routinely against us.

look at how the leafs are shooting vs the jets or canucks. Leafs keep trying to go low on buck and as Matthews proved go top bar on him and he aint stopping ****. Canucks and Jets goals all were from up high something the leafs should be attempting. Also look at Ehlers goal 2 on 1 top bar because of whose error Holl. Freddie was not stopping that. Goal 3 nobody can predict a 200ft shot is gonna perfectly tip. In general Freddie made the all the saves he could but bad plays by the Dman gave the jets easy chances. Hellybuck got tons of support and literally the leafs had to scratch and claw for every goal they got. Jets were basically handed 2 than got lucky for their third.

Exactly.. and its not like he had no chance. Both Ehlers goals should have been stopped, i didnt watch the stastny goal so i dont know about that but seriously this is not the type of goaltending that brings us through the playoffs

Hallebuyk made two glove saves (one off of Thornton and one off of Brodie) that were exactly the same as the one Ehlers goal.
