Let alone trying to get Jordo the Captain back... Derek Stepan is a UFA at the end of the season and is injured for the rest of the season so he has exactly 0 value to any team

HARD. NO. And I love Brannstrom, was a big fan of his going into the draft, was happy VGK got him and annoyed when they traded him (I used to write for the team back in the first season and a half), but no. I don't think he's better than Sandin and I don't believe he beats Muzzin, Rielly, Brodie, or Holl for a spot. He's also not worth Nylander. Not to the Leafs.
