Seattle takes Lindholm and you probably can’t resign Sanheim, Hart, and/or Patrick in the off-season because of the cap without some other serious transactions.

This is assuming Seattle takes Voracek or JvR which will give PHI the cap to sign those guys. If they, in fact, take Lindblom then these transactions for sure need to be second-guessed.

There is zero chance the take a 32 year old winger on a 7+ mil contract with term when they could take a 23 year old winger for 3 mil and term or Ekholm for a year.

It depends who else they take from other teams. JvR is PHI's best player this year and Voracek is an elite winger with 3 years on his contract as well. Seattle isn't just gonna take average players on cheap deals to make their entire team, they need really good (and expensive) players too to make them competitive and reach the cap floor. I get your reasoning, and sure it makes sense for Seattle to do that, but perhaps PHI bribes them to take one of JVR/Voracek with more assets.

Saying there is zero chance is a bit reactive, the Seattle GM could have a different opinion than both of ours.

I think Philly may need to give Seattle something for them to take JVR, which could be worth it for them to free up cap space

Unfortunately, there likely won’t be many top 6 forwards available. If Lindbolm is available, he’ll be taken in this scenario.

Protect Linblom over Laughton. Laughton is UFA so even if they select him its possible for him to resign in philly
