I really dont think the Leafs should trade for a starter until after a full year of a platoon setting with Campbell healthy. Grab another cheap backup, ideally a waiver exempt one or make enough space to carry 3 goalies. Anderson is clearly playing hurt, Campbell is hurt and Hutch is playing great but that can't be counted on to last.

Bonified starters are super expensive and backups are super cheap, even if they can play more minutes than they are currently.

Rakell would be a nice add to the Leafs but I think they need Defensive depth. Maybe a retained Savard if Columbus is still struggling. I don't think they should trade Liljegren either. I would in the right trade but Sandin is protection against losing Rielly in a couple years and Liljegren should take Holl's spot in two years and perhaps replace or push Bogosian for the 3rd pair spot next season since he is playing so much better than last year in the AHL.

I'm not sure it works for either team unless all three of those players really want out of Anaheim. I think Gibson might want out but he is too pricey for Toronto long term considering the cap is flat for four years.

Noway Anaheim accepts that trade, Why in the world would they even want Andersen back over Gibson. Gibson is younger signed longer over an aging Andersen get real.

How is it not close. You can break it up as fred, the second, the first and amirov for gibson. Then Liljegren and a first for rakell. Then kerfoot for terry. You can throw in a thid to the terry deal but which one of these is so far off?

Andersen is just a place holder for the money. The main return there is the second, first and liljegren. They can flip andersen too

Yeah sure you trade a young 27 year old Goaltender in John Gibson who's making $6.4 million for the next 6 years or so, For a 31 year old pending UFA in Andersen. Like i said why would Anaheim want Andersen back at the expense of Gibson? Sorry but Andersen a late 2nd and 1st round pick and Amirov don't get you a Goalie of Gibson's caliber.

Still a late 1st round pick and 2nd round pick and Liljegren isn't enough for Gibson, Rakell and Terry the deal is laughable at best.

Bracco is not only no longer a leaf, but not even in the league.
