Jersey could probably get a bit better picks for Murray especially with the retention but otherwise this seems right, not sure if Tampa wants to let Johnson go now though.

My thought on the Murray deal is that the 4th is for the player, and the 5th is for the retention. Normally the retention would be worth more, but Murray is on an expiring deal on a team that has the 4th most cap space (8.5 million). Also if Tampa wants to buy at the deadline like it is speculated, they would need to move Johnson.

I would definitely love to buy another quality RHD, but Johnson would love to stay in Tampa for the remainder of the season with his full NTC. The only scenario I can see Johnson moving is if Kucherov is clearly going to have to come off LTIR before the end of the season.

Do call for Johnson in the offseason though.

Would you take a 3rd and 5th for Murray on 50% retention, because that is about the most I would give up for a player like him who most likely won’t be protected in the expansion draft and may not resign in the offseason .

I think they wait as long as possible to (a) see the market form and (b) let their AHL guys develop a little more.

Doubt they happen but like em. Murray probably gets more, Honka I can see. Don't like the idea of giving up assets for TJ, when we know TB is desperate. Milk em for all you can get, take in a 2nd or 3rd in the offseason.
