Lou laughs at that offer, why would the Isles give up a top 6 forward on a RFA contact for half year of Hall who is a disappointment and has a history of injuries

The vancouver one is interesting, demko is probably a deal breaker but maybe dipietro and like a 3rd instead. I like beauvillier I wouldn't move him for a rental but it isn't crazy. Columbus ismt making the playoffs so staal has no value to them. Theyd need something else for domi.

Beau's not going anywhere, but let's just humor you for a moment. He's making 2.1 million. With Buffalo retaining 1.5 million, the Islanders would be paying Hall 6.5 million. So (6.5 - 2.1) = 4.4 million in cap space. How did you expect the Islanders to fit Hall under the cap when they have 0 cap space left? Sorry, bud but money in, is money out you'd be taking on a bad contract with the deal.

Yeah, I know but when this post was started I had no clue. I checked out the news like I always do before jumping on this site and there was no mention of it. I then turned on the game and it was literally the first thing they said...lol...my bad bud.

VAN decline, they don't need Eichel they have a solid young core, they just need to get some bad contracts off the team.

Well laid out argument
And u guys may not want Hall to begin with...
but i do think we’ll get back something good for him from whoever he does get traded to

Thanks, it made sense at the time I wrote it, but literally 15 minutes later I found out Lee was put on the LTIR..lol

I agree with you some team may pay your asking price for Hall, but I'll be shocked if it's close to what you're asking. I find it hard to believe he got to Buffalo and suddenly forgot how to play hockey. He has no excuses playing with Eichel most of the year and he finally has that elite center he's been wanting.

Your not taking into account that NO ONE on our team is producing offensively
It’s not like Eichel is blowing it up & Hall is sucking
And all it takes is for 2 teams to offer a 2nd
Then one of them will likely offer their 1st to get him
Keep in mind, it’s gonna be a late 1st
Teams trade those every year
And I’m sure they all remember just how much talent Hall has

That's thing both Eichel and Hall should be playing better. If Hall is half the player people think he is he should be blowing up the scoring. I agree you can't put the entire blame on him, but there must be a reason his productions dropped off this year. I personally don't buy the fact it's Buffalo that's the problem. He played better on a bad Devils team than he is now with an elite player like Eichel.

But, anyways like I said I don't doubt some team will give them their asking price, but it'll likely be some team that can afford to give away that first rounder. The Islanders can't afford too after giving up last years first to get Pageau. Their prospect pool isn't as deep some other teams in the league and our cores not getting any younger.
