Why?

Saves Melnyk $1,500,000 next season, plus the $800,000 below Kerfoot's cap hit the season after.

Tierney a better fit for a bottom 6 C who plays the PK, and his contract expires a year sooner at the same time as Reilly

I'd rather have Granlund at LW with Kerfoot being apart of that package then getting Tierney for like a 4th or something. Lol

Probably works, though Tierney has been better that Kerfoot when he's been good this season, but had some bad games too. Sens probably ask for more and it doesn't happen.

I got told I was undervaluing Tierney in a trade for a 2nd + Abruzzese/Hallander.

He's an extremely calming presence between Stutzle and Batherson.

As a Leafs Fan, I'd love him for the PK.
Send fans would rather not trade him

He can be as calming as he wants for the Sens then cause a 2nd and a B prospect is a massive overpayment for a guy that's decent on the PK and playing 3rd or 4th line minutes. Leafs don't have rookies to be a "calming" presence to. Unless Robertson is called up which he should be there is not young new to the league players. Everyone is at least 3 or 5 years in at least. It's a buyers market this year. You won't see the 1st for Coleman deals.
