I am trying to build a cheat sheet for the NHL's Vegas team, for use in my fantasy keeper leagues expansion draft. However, I have found a few players whose ELC slide from 18-19 to 19-20 but have a small hand full of pro games, in the AHL typically, in that slide year.
Does anyone know if, due to the slide, having only 2 pro years after the slide makes a player exempt?
But also: in looking for comparables to solve my question, I found Maxime Comtois of Anaheim Ducks has three pro years, three years under contract and didn't opt out last year penalty free, so why is he listed as EXEMPT?
Feels I am missing some key factoid.
Thanks for your help.
