i know what u mean but Nashville is shopping forsberg which means he definitely does not want to return. the fact that there r so many forsberg rumors is proof he prolly wont resign

Poile's been pretty clear that he's not shopping Forsberg. There's zero reason to think "he definitely does not want to return". There's no proof of anything like that - just a lot of wishful thinking from other teams' fans.

Poile has said that Forsberg is a player he doesn't see being traded any time soon.

What does age have to do with it. The point is AHL success and NHL success are not always a direct correlation. Same with KHL, NCAA, etc

Jarvis did it as a kid in a mens league. He was the top scorer in a professional league at 19 before some dumb CHL agreement meant he couldn't play in the league anymore. That is the sign of success. If you don't know that, you shouldn't be on this website

I talk in statistics and numbers. When Jarvis was sent down, he was the top producer in a professional league as a 19 year old, coming out of his draft year. Already used to the North American ice. There's 0 doubt he's going to be an incredible player going forward. He's going to be better than a 60 point producer because Martin Necas didn't have that kind of success at 19, and he's already pushing 50 points as a 22 year old.

Yeesh, some of the takes in this thread.

-Jarvis is not currently better than Forsberg. He’s a prospect, there’s no guarantee he becomes anything. That said, I wouldn’t trade him for Forsberg.

-I’m surprised no one has said anything about that horrid Gibson trade. When has a goalie EVER returned that much? That trade is absurd and the OP should be ashamed for suggesting it.

-The Canes are one of the best teams in the NHL. They’ve already said “we like our group”. They’ll make a trade or two, but nowhere close to what’s suggested in all these ridiculous deals.

Statistics and numbers are indicators, not guarantees. You said so yourself.

"Eichel's points and goal tallies aren't facts. A 'Fact' is something that CANNOT be denied, which isn't true with points and goal totals."

(In “support” of your argument that analytics “prove” that Sebastian Aho > Jack Eichel.)

No. I said that statistics and UNDERLYING numbers are certainties. Point totals fluctuate FAR too much to be a decent indicator. I expect better than this simple misunderstanding from you, you seem to be smarter than 95% of this site.
