Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
CHI
  1. 2021 2nd round pick (TOR)
  2. 2022 3rd round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
If the leafs are going after a depth forward for their playoff push Janmark should be on their radar. He went to the cup final with Dallas Last year, so he has experience, he has been solid offensively, but is also defensively sound and a PK'er. A good 3rd line guy.
TOR
  1. Janmark, Mattias
Additional Details:
3rd is conditional if they win the cup and Janmark plays in half of their games.
2.
CHI
  1. 2021 3rd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
He was signed when we found out we would be without Dach and Toews to start the season, now that Dach seems to be on his way back from injury it would be smart to move him at the deadline.
3.
CHI
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
He's been solid this year.
WPG
  1. De Haan, Calvin

4.
CHI
  1. 2022 4th round pick (COL)
5.
WPG
Claimed on waivers by whoever puts him on waivers in a couple of weeks.

I understand the rebuild kinda but the hawks are in a playoff spot and probably will make the playoffs.

Don’t think these moves are going to impact that. Actually a couple of fairly smart moves.

And probably lose in the first round. It's great to have a better than expected regular season and even make the playoffs but stick to the plan which is to rebuild. You also get picks in return and the younger players get the spots in the lineup and some postseason experience.

In all fairness the underlying numbers support your point but I feel they're likely to regress with 88 at 1.5 pts per game and Lankinen Subban above average

Idk just feels like a bit like a Cinderella pumpkin situation and Dallas probably have one last push left

However their PDO is at exactly 100 so 😕

I think you have to have 3 goalies in the NHL/taxi squad.... so to account for the subban trade.

I like the trades for Janmark and Soderberg. I don't think any team will trade for Subban. There will be better back up goalies available with the expansion draft looming and every team only able to protect 1 goalie.

I think the issue with trying to trade de Haan before the deadline this season is going to be that, whatever team acquired him, they'd lose de Haan in the expansion draft to Seattle anyway because most teams already have at least 3 defensemen they'd prefer to protect. So, the Blackhawks are only going to be offered rental value for this season to a contender. Also, for a plus one year deal like de Haan's, contenders are going to target Ekholm from the Predators first. Ekholm's contract is more reasonable at $3.75m per season for the rest of this season and next season.

I've thought about trading de Haan a lot and, unless they find a great deal for him, I actually think it's better for the Hawks to hang onto him for the rest of this season and as expansion draft bait for Seattle. The Hawks 3 young defensemen aren't ready for a playoff run as starters without some protection on every pairing with a veteran. They'll benefit from playing out the season on a pairing with de Haan. Plus, Seattle may not take de Haan because his cap hit it too high and his contract is for only one more season, then, he's an UFA. With the flat cap, I'd rather that Seattle takes de Haan than Carlsson who is an RFA or one of the other unprotected younger Hawks. If de Haan isn't selected by Seattle, they keep him for one more season and the young defensemen get sheltered one more year. de Haan definitely won't be resigned by the Hawks after his current contract.
