You can't just put him on waivers after claiming. You have to have him on your roster for a bit

i believe the taxi squad is different. DePietro is currently on the taxi squad (and waivers exempt) i think post suggests sending DePietro down and having forsber on the taxi squad.... which i don't think involves waivers

If you want to put Forsberg on your taxi squad he has to clear waivers. That is how he ended up in Winnipeg in the first place.

If Forsberg was in the minors or on the Jets' taxi squad (he wasn't, Jets were carrying 3 goalies on their 23 man roster) then he could go to the taxi squad of a new team without waivers.
