How do ECHL teams play a game with an 18-player roster (2 goalies and the remaining players either a forward or defensemen)? It's confusing to me since the AHL allows for teams to have 20-players for each game.

The ECHL only allows 18 players for each game is what I meant. It is broken down to 2 goalies and 16 skaters compared to the NHL & AHL whom allow 18 skaters plus 2 goalies for each game.
