MIN wanted to draft Poehling in 2017 so they are probably still interested in him. Feel like an overpay by MTL but Greenway is having a good season

I don’t think there’s intention to move him unless it’s for a similarity aged center. If you’d be willing to make Kotkaniemi available Wild would add some parts but I don’t see a 2nd and a tweezer as the kind of futures they’d want for Greener.

The futures package to get him would look like a 1st and B/C prospect.

I don't think this moves the needle at all for us. If we move him it will be for a similarly aged center as you said, or in a package for a legitimate top line center.

Poehling is underwhelming (i equate him to the value of a 5th... habs fans overvalue him), Armia is nice (similar play style).... but expiring... 2nd isn't enough.

Kunin trade is this trade's model, and Kunin isn't as good as Greenway.

I think you’ve gotta get a 1st as a base to even consider moving for futures.

I really have like what I see from him this year effort wise, and that’s been the difference. I think he will be moved either this off-season or next but I’m really happy he’s figured it out. I proposed the Strome for Greenway deal earlier today and I think the only way MIN considers it is if they get a 2nd back with Strome to make it a no brainer. All that is to mean that he’s earned his spot this year and good for him.

They are very similar type players and Greenway now having a better season; in a season where it's hard to evaluate players.
So you want a 1st in Armia, a 1st in Poehling and a 2nd. He'll go to arbitration in 2 years and will cost more than Armia. Worth it?
No thanks but Habs pass.
