I am not opposed to this, but I don't think they can move him at the deadline, cause you have to worry about injuries. I do think that they won't have to resign Halak back and Swayman and Vladar can split the back-up role after resigning Rask next season.

I don't really see the point in Carolina making a move for a goalie unless it's a major upgrade. Especially since they have their own young guy in there performing extremely well (Small sample size).

goaltending in the playoffs has always been an issue for the Canes, make sense for them IMO

What are you smoking? Playoff goaltending is usually Carolina's strength WHEN they make it. Their major issue is always depth scoring, moving McGinn when he's scoring like he is makes no sense

Yes Mrazek's .808 SV Percentage and getting pulled in final two games of Eastern conference final versus the Bruins is clearly a position of strength.

He was injured and had a .930 going into that series 👍 Way to pick 1 series too,

If you would like to look at that playoffs as a whole he had two shut outs which inflated his numbers for the majority of the rest of his games in which he was pulled from 3, and had a sub .900 sv percentage in 5 games. It is literally a fact that Carolinas weakness is goaltending. Even in the regular season Mrazek has had above a 0.910 sv percentage and below a 2.5 GAA once in the past 5 years. He is shaky at best and does not pull through when it matters most.

You want some stats? Okay

In the 2018-19 playoffs you sited, Mrazek has the best save percentage above expected of any goaltender in the postseason. Mrazek had 2 shutouts yes, but that does not inflate those numbers, he does have to earn them. Discounting the Boston series in which he admitted he was playing with broken bones in his hand, his save percentage was still above .930! Mrazek is streaky, but he always has turned it on for the playoffs. Carolina's goaltending is NOT their weakness, and if you knew anything about the Canes you'd know that.

Always turns it on in the playoffs? He has won 1 playoff series in his career LOL.

The Canes issue has been goaltending for years, this has been talked about throughout the media for years, as they've also been reportedly in on every goalie that has moved in the last 3 years. Apparently you may be the only person that doesn't see this lol.

LMAO bahahah

Carolina turned down a move for Andersen in the summer, and signed Mrazek in preference to Lehner the summer before. Goaltending has not been a problem since Francis left. You might be the only person who doesn't know that. Mrazek's saves above expected always goes through the roof in the playoffs. ALWAYS, going back to his time in Detroit
