A guy like Lou who's big on chemistry isn't trading beauvillier mid season.

This is a complete pipe dream. Lou isn’t going to part with a roster player. Miller for Beau does make some sense though.

Buffalo doesn’t want Komarov. Send him in the Vancouver deal since you’re taking Sutter back. Buffalo would much rather have Kiefer Bellows.

That doesn't get you ten minutes alone with JT Miller's jock

I think you have to consider the role they’re putting beau in right now. He’s playing in a shutdown line and expected to be the guy that retrieves the puck on dump ins in the offensive zone. He’s also extremely snake bitten right now, lowest shooting % of his career. Regression to the mean should happen soon and he’ll start scoring more - he’s still averaging over 2 shots per game.

Miller is solid but he will not have the same production in trotz system.

I think you read my LHH post to get that data lol. I like Beau I just think Miller gives us a better player for a reasonable price who fill lee’s role this year.

If Van and Komarov are in the same sentence, we say no. Unless you're taking Myers and Loui, of course

Right. Van needs cap relief. Leo is the last thing they want unlike rebuilding Buffalo.

What’s LHH? Lol

Yeah I get what you’re saying , but id rather move beau up to barzal’s wing. I’m really surprised trotz hasn’t reunited beauvillier-barzal -eberle

17-18 season that line had 54.1% of the expected goals and had a 62.8 goals % - they outscored the opposition 27-16.

Definitely an idea! He is stuck on Beau-Nelly-Bailey

I’m not a Bailey hater but at this point in his career bailey he is a defensive minded 3rd liner that can make a sick pass once every 3-4 games. He shouldn’t be on the 2nd line. He’s just awful in transition and that’s one of beaus biggest strengths (other than his shot). Makes too much sense to put beau back with barzal - I just know beau would put up 30 goals in a more offensive minded system. Looking at his underlying numbers it’s clear he definitely has what takes to be a 1st line winger as he enters his prime

I think you are a little too high on Beau. That line would have a really tough time forechecking without a big body. Lee was so perfect for that line.

Last season eberle led the isles top 6 in forechecking recoveries per /60. Beau was 2nd. I wouldn’t say lee is a good forechecker, he’s great at protecting the puck and maintaining possession.

Lee was a bit of a liability on that line last season but credit to him because he improved his skating and he became a better option off the rush. He’s been dominant this season. That being said, beau is arguably our best defensive winger , he has the best shot in the top 6 - I remember seeing on money pucks website his shot was something like 12% shooting talent above league average. I think if trotz gave beau-barzal-eberle an extended look, it would pay off

How bout Wilde, Bellows, Hickey (cap dump) and 2nd of your choice of yrs to NJ
For Palms, Zajac both at 50 off? Saves you Beau and the 2nd and 4th, as well as some cash

Add Uncle Leo to NJ and take back your 2nd in the Greene trade and make it Wahlstrom and you keep the Bellows (I know this is a no already)
