Description
Sweeney will not do anything at the TDL but this what I’d like to do. Keeps them competitive for the next two years. I think they should definitely do the Ekholm trade.

I’m friends with Bruins fans, What are the actual odds that Sweeny does something? He hasn’t gotten a top 6 W for DK at all. Craig smith has struggled and the scoring depth is going dry they say.

Would be immensely disappointing for Preds to move both Forsberg and Ekholm to Boston and receive absolutely nothing substantial in return.

It'll never happen.

DeBrusk and 2 first round picks is pretty good return. Might have to include another prospect.

Yes. And Forsberg would help all of that.

Sweeney let the habs get toffoli. He hasn’t pulled a trigger on a trade, they always are linked but they never actually get the guy.

You'll have Moore chance to convince them if you don't include him on the deal.

Not sure if the Bruins were on Toffoli but it wouldn't have really changed much.

It's a start, but honestly those firsts are going to be very low and none of the pieces help with their biggest weaknesses - namely centers.

Can't see the deals happening without Studnicka or Beecher included.

My point still stands. They always are linked to the guy, but never get the fuy.

I’d throw in Beecher for sure.

Not surprising since he's regressed a bit from what he was when he got drafted, at least statistically. Still he's probably the 2nd best C prospect the Bruins could offer. Frederic is a decent piece, but more of a middle-6 guy.

Guess it has to be Studs.

Many teams are linked to many players, Sweeney isn't more or less than the other GMs. He is conservative but it's better that instead of overpaying players like Beleskey and Backes.

It’ll likely have to be Beecher because I’m sure they won’t trade Studs at all.

Kinda have it backwards - Preds won't be dealing Forsberg without getting top prospects in return. BOS doesn't have anyone better to offer, but other teams can and will top this sort offer.

Now Ekholm for Beecher+1st...that makes sense to me.

I'd throw Stud in for a deal involving Forsberg. DeBrusk, 1sts, Stud, for Forsberg

Add a 2nd and I think NSH would take it.

Would be hard to see any team topping that kind of offer.

That’s a bit rich. Not too many teams will offer anything close to that. I think Studnicka, 1st, Kase and Lauko is more than fair.

Kase's value is low since he's never healthy. Lauko's semi interesting though, but imo they could still do better.

In a sense that's a fair offer, but I feel like several teams could top that.

I can’t remember a comparable trade from recent history for a top line F with another year to go.

Duchene to OTT comes to mind...although it was a 3-way.

And a MASSIVE overpayment. I think it was an emotional decision.

Honestly Forsberg will not go anywhere. Ekholm will mostly because of the Expansion Draft. Doubtful a team struggling to score will trade its top F. He’s only 26 and I’d keep him. I’m mostly dreaming here.
