Haha this is craaazy bad value for Predators. How could you not see this? Would you guys trade away Jake Muzzin, William Nylander (3 mil retained) for Alexandre Carrier, 2021 1st, Colton Sissons and Yakov Trenin?

First of all comparing Nylander and Muzzin to Forsberg and Ekholm is ridiculous, I take both those leafs over both of those preds any day

Second where are you getting these evaluations? Acting like Liljegren isn't at least a B+ to A- prospect and that Kerfoot and Dermott wouldn't be serviceable young players for a Preds rebuild

liljegren and a first id say is close to getting ekholm, but the rest of the package definitely doesn't get Forsberg

Haha stop it, no it’s absolutely not ridicoulous to compare these 4 players. That’s because you’re an biased Toronto fan. Liljegren is not an A- prospect anymore, no chance. Servicable players on Kerfoot and Dermott is correct. But you are retaining 50% on an Elite top wing 26 year old PPG player in his prime and Ekholm with one of the best contracts in the league. Both with 1 more year left. Nashville gets Liljegren who maybe pans out and a late 1st for two of their absolutely best players? Come on.

Haha maybe not even a 1st IF they not make it to the CF? What is going on. Take the day to watch some Forsberg/Ekholm analytical stats, their contracts and come back with some sense of reality.

Astoundingly bad for NSH. No top prospect and no guarantee of at least a 1st for Forsberg retained and Ekholm? Why would they possibly consider this?

The preds aren't getting enough here.
Dermott, Engvall and a first would probably get you Ekholm. In no world does Liljgren, Kerfoot and a 6th get you Forsberg. Amirov would have to be added at least.

Value is off but without even going into that... it doesn't fit Nashville's needs at all. If Nashville trades Forsberg it's a full blown rebuild.

Kerfoot doesn't bring any value to that. He's an underperforming player on a slightly bloated contract and is being outperformed by a 2M Jarnkrok on our team. We don't need/want/have any desire to add to our already bloated contracts of Duchene/Johansen.

Dermott is fine as a temporary replacement but he's a third pairing dman. There will be tons of serviceable UFA 3rd pairing dmen in the offseason.

Liljegren may pan out but we don't really need any RHD with Ellis, Fabbro, Carrier/Benning/whatever. Ellis has atleast 3-4 years as a top pairing and from there he can ease back to 2nd pairing and still be serviceable. Either way that gives us lots of time to draft and develop internally.

Engvall - I don't even know where he'd slot in on Nashville. Our bottom 6 is so congested unless you do a 1 for 1 trade for say Cousins/Jarnkrok/etc it doesn't make sense as a return for Nashville.

So that leaves the picks as things that Nashville should be interested in. I could see Poile being interested in Liljegren.... I'm not but he loves his dmen which is why our forward prospects pipeline is thin. Either way not near enough to be of interest to trade Forsberg for. If you want Forsberg (especially at half price) it starts with Robertson. It may move back to Amirov but for half price I wouldn't.
