Danault. Is. Not. On. The. Market.

He's the only Habs center old enough to grow a moustache and/or win a faceoff.

So many have this notion Danault is the guru in faceoff's. He is at 51%. KK & Evans are at 48%. Not much difference in percentage. And yes I like Danault and want him to stay but it is not like he is head and shoulders above everyone else!

I don't mind it from NJ, but I like Wood and he's surprisingly been one of our better forwards this year. I think I would decline it.

Honestly you might be better off going after Staal, no quarantine involved and he'll give you more offence than Danault will

But his point still stands that Danault isn’t on the market.

I think Devils accept. One of the best offers I've seen for Wood

This is where stats sometimes don't tell the entire picture. Danault's FO% doesn't mention that he almost always goes against the other teams best face-off men. Any key defensive draw he is the guy doing it while KK, Evans and Suzuki are sheltered as much as possible with regards to draws

I think he only goes on the market if Bergevin gets a crazy offer that is simply too good to ignore. The impression is Bergevin wants Danault back and why wouldn't he!?!

Suzuki yes. KK and Evans it depends on the flow of the game as I have seen Evans take important draws defensively. But on the whole I agree with your statement.
