Logic: Assuming Tortorella re-signs, he could potentially figure things out with DeAngelo; NYR would pay extra in this trade as it allows them to avoid buying out DeAngelo. CBJ can easily afford to buy him out if needed during a rebuild.

None of this makes any sense. You are either way over valuing players or way undervaluing.

Bruins need a top 4 LD; Gavrikov is a perfect fit. Sometimes you need to overpay a little bit to get the right player.

That's why he was traded basically straight up for Dubois? (Don't mention Roslovic; he wasn't worth much before he started scoring this year in Columbus - basically was just a toss in to that deal because he wouldn't sign, and he's been able to prove himself with CBJ)

Yes, they also have other options and they won't move Studnicka. They need a center after the Bergeron-Krejci era. Gavrikov isn't the "perfect limit", he doesn't have much offense to offer.

The Bruins are pretty strong down the middle already with Coyle and Frederic. Yes, Krejci will go, but once Bergeron goes it will probably be time to rebuild anyway.

No they don't, in fact we have 3 guys already capable of playing top 4 on the left side. Their LHD depth is its organizational strength. Meanwhile they need young centers as Krejci and Bergeron only have a few years left.

Coyle is a 3C at best and Freddy is a bottom 6 type player. Studnicka is their only C prospect who looks to have top 6 upside right now (maybe Beecher too)

Frederic is a former 1st round pick who scored at the AHL level. He's breaking into the league in a similar manner to how Tom Wilson did with the Capitals; the top 9 - top 6 level scoring will come.

yea PLD also very underwhelming. Would not touch neither of them. Both of them are not worth their cap hits. Laine cant do anything but shoot the puck and he isn't even doing that well. HE cant skate and or place defense

I guess you dont watch a lot of Jets games. PLD is a stud defensively and is slowly working on chemistry with two young exciting wingers. he is more than worth his 5 AAV at only 22

LD is the bruins biggest weakness lol. RHD is really strong maybe you got confused? Anyway the blue jackets shouldn’t be rebuilding anyway. There aren’t really any bad contracts and we can still contend.

I really don't like the Atkinson contract and Elvis isn't enough of an upgrade on Koskinen to take it on. And then you threw in Bouchard, that'll be a hard no from Edmonton.

Lol no it's not.

Lauzon - playing top pairing minutes w/ McAvoy before injury and as well as an anchor on the top PK unit (which is one of the top PK's in the NHL)

Grz - well documented that he's was a top 4 last year but stuck behind Chara and Krug

Zboril/Vaak - two guy right now that are more that bottom 4 group, but no issue w/ either guy playing 2nd pair

Then they have their depth guys like Moore and Tinordi. Prospect wise they have Lohrei (monster season so far in the USHL), Ahcan made his debut last night and while undersized scouts comp him as a blend of Krug and Grz.

Again LHD is not a weakness. Would I take someone like an Ekholm? Sure, he'd be fantastic to pair w/ McAvoy.

On the flip side the RHD pretty much stops at McAvoy and Carlo. But please continue to tell me how Boston is set at RHD.

And Frederic's will improve as he gets put higher in the lineup as well.

They've got Stastny expiring and they need one more 2nd line winger and then their top 6 will be set.

Great, were still not trading our best center prospect with actual Top 6 talent.
