There is no way it’s compher. Man do you ever want to get rid of him any means necessary

A team contending for a cup doesn't get rid of capable NHLers mid-season even if they are overpaid.

It has to be a pick or a low tier prospect

Heard that it's just a pick being sent the other way...absolutely nothing is confirmed though so I'm simply speculating.

He’s been hurt and would you change the forward line up if you were Bednar?

Bro lets see 25 yr old forward with 244 games, 95pt, 0.39ppg for a 25 yr old goalie with 13 career games .888 career save percentage and 3.4 gaa. Come on that’s not even remotely on the planet going to happen.

Compher isn’t a cap dump. So ridiculous that a 25yr old get hurt and have a bad season. GM’s that do moves like that find themselves unemployed. So ridiculous.

Seriously shaking my head, god forbid a player struggle. But hey I had a buddy who absolutely wanted to trade MacKinnon before he broke out because he didn’t produce like a 1OA. You want to trade Compher fine, but he isn’t a cap dump, he isn’t some dude who nets just a 4th rd pick, I mean seriously advocating trading Compher for a goalie with 1 career win and sub 900 save percentage is just asinine.

MacDonald has made himself the Avs no.6 Dman and leads the league in Corsi. I really doubt Sakic wants to move him now.

It would likely be a mid or late round pick, or AHL player or prospect.

I'm more interested in $3.5m capspace for 3 seasons than I am with Johansson. There's no space on this roster for Compher anymore, and moving him creates space for a serious deadline move.

compher was paid for his potential which is a gamble. right now it's not working out so i have no problem moving on. what compher brings even last season is replaceable. avs are contenders now so i dont want to wait for him to figure it out if he ever does. id rather have the cap space and get someone who is ready for the 3c role now.

What serious deadline move? They aren’t going to add a top 6 forward, top 4 d, or starting goalie. They don’t need to.

That’s fine but you don’t dump him that’s stupid, and regardless of what any ACGM says Compher has real value not some bull**** cap dump for some scrub 3rd string goalie.
