Pretty good honestly. LA trade is slightly lopsided towards PIT but the rest are fine.

I can't see us paying a second-round draft pick for the privilege of exposing Marcus Pettersson (or Matt Roy) in the expansion draft, plus giving up the fastest player on our team.

What would help balance it out?

I don't see a fit for Pettersson on the Kings. Kings are looking for a top pair upgrade. Petterson would be a decent option for 2LD, but they already have Anderson and Bjornfot fighting to fill that spot.

Athanasiou's value on the trade market is significantly less than his value to LA. He's been good this season, but he's only one shortened season removed from a real stinker. Since he's a RFA this summer, I think the Kings will extend him rather than trading him for not very much value.

LA isn't going to trade MacDermid before the expansion draft. They need him as a redundancy for the exposure requirement in case Maatta gets hit by a bus.

Finally, I don't think LA is interested in trading any high round picks this season.

I don't think ANYthing "would help balance it out" because it's not a question of fairness but of applicability: it would be a bad fit for us because after the expansion draft, we wouldn't have any of those four elements: Seattle would have taken Pettersson in the expansion draft.
