No way. All the AGMs that I’ve seen dump Kerfoot for absolutely nothing. Now you say he’s worth something?

Pass, the value not close, those guys are bottom 6 nobodies to me and CBJ has enough of those guys. Your getting a possible franchise type goalie for the next 4-5 years at least. We will probably trade Elvis but will have higher quality offers. Just from observation i know many teams are interested in him. Why are we giving up a 3rd in top of that? No thanks. Gotta give quality to get quality

Ethan Bear is one of the best young rookie defensemen he’s a right shot and has played first pairing minutes last year. The right shot alone is hard to come by. His puck possession and Corsi are elite numbers. He’s on a cost controlled contract and is an RFA at the end. Koskinen is a good goalie when he plays about 35 games a year. You have a starter in korpisalo so that’s what you need. You’d have a full finish goaltending tandem and you could resign him for 2 million as a backup.

Our Russian stud prospect Tarasov will probably jump to #2 next year. CBJ stud goalie factory lol. In all seriousness though we need a more traditional D man that can clear a crease and play more physical like Jones and Savard. We are about to lose Savard. It would allow us to split werenski and Jones up more. Jones or even our youngster Peeke would then be more free to hunt goals. Bear would kind of add to the jumbled mess we have of D guys who don’t play physical enough with Bear being undersized for my liking at 5’11”. We may be stacked at goalie but having 2 or 3 of something doesn't mean we give a discount trading them when Columbus has needs if its own to address. Its gotta be the type of deal where we can help each other out. Think of it this way, if you got a goalie who was a major upgrade over what you have and secured what i think is the most important position in the game for the next 5 years, what is that worth to you? Not asking for a kings ransom but the Jackets need a more immediate impact player in return or maybe a first round pick. Your dumping Koskinen to team that is set at goaltender, we have no need for him at all, so how does that help us

Tarasov is 21 and he likely needs to come over and play in the AHL for a few years yet. If you are going to trade a goalie you do need one back. Koskinen is on an expiring contract and likely can be resigned for cheap. Bear is on a 2 million dollar contract and can play second pairing. These kinds of moves are what keeps you under the cap especially if you need to throw another 2 million at Patrick Laine. If all it takes is a first rounder then Edmonton does that in a heartbeat but the conditions are still that you take Koskinen.

He is worth something, just because we want to move him doesn't make him worthless
