Dubois is better than Reinhart so you won't be getting that

I guess we are just going to pretend that the value of Johansson for a 6th round pick didnt happen

That Ethan Bear trade is a joke. Eakin's like a fourth-line center. Not the kind of piece you move a defenceman that's played top-pair virtually his entire NHL career for.

So you’re just trying to showcase CapFriendly’s idiots? Also Dubois > Reinhart and it’s not close.

Pierre-Luc:

Fairly close.
So maybe take out the 2nd or make it a third, or the Sabres add a third.

But hey we will just give Compher away for free because an ACGM that has irrational dislike for Compher posted a stupid trade.

LOL, I will take out the COL and EDM trades, I knew they were stupid but I put them in anyway.
As I said in the title most are an over pay, but at the TDL a GM may over react and give up too much.
The COL trade must have just been announced, I missed it completely.

I agree value makes no sense for oilers. I do think should be careful viewing bear in that way. He’s shown to have a lot of upside but also has shown very questionable decision making and his skating ability might not be up to top pairing standards. Still very young finding his role on the team he could just as easily become a quality third pairing guy that can cover for a top four role on a competitive team this season he’s given a lot of reasons to temper the expectations. I feel like I’ve been very hard on him this year but I do really like the kid and have high hopes just being more cautious and realistic about it.

He's a week removed from a concussion and you and a lot of other fans on here or on other platforms have completely turned on him. Frigg off. His numbers as a top pair rookie last year were way above what they should have been, and his numbers this season have been up there as well.

Edmonton got no goaltending during their first dozen games and he's been managing a comination of his concussion and Tippett having brain worms since he came back. Giving up on him now for anything shy of a top-line scorer would be atrociously stupid.

I’ve been willing to entertain idea of moving him before the concussion due to his play. It would be extremely irresponsible to not consider idea of keeping a dman that’s leading all dman in points over someone who’s clearly struggled all year who can’t be expected to produce at nearly the same pace. Bear is a good player and will have a very bright future but is he the best option for top pairing role right now and the next
2-3 years I don’t see it as a safe option if winning is the primary focus as it should be at this stage of mcdavid Leon’s nuge nurse career.

Barrie can't play in his own end. I absolutely appreciate his production, but anything over a very club friendly deal would be foolish.

Something I explored in yesterday's AGM is keeping all 4 RHD. I dont think keeping all of Barrie, Bear, Bouchard, and Larsson have to be exclusive ideas. Its very possible to keep all 4.

But knowing this organization, I'm convinced Barrie is going to get north of $6M and one of Bear or Bouchard are going to be traded for a marginal return.
