That’s a lot of unnecessary moves, Jost Donskoi and Nichushkin really seem to be gelling as a 3rd line, LOC looks like the built in Calvert replacement next year at a very cheap price, and Bernier doesn’t happen because they wouldn’t have done Johansson move if they were interested in a backup and Francouz wasn’t somewhere close to being ready to come back. It is creative though.

The 3rd is enough for Bernier.

I don't mind the trades in isolation, but they feel like trades for the sake of making trades. The actual roster is a mess as well, as Nichuskin is playing great and isn't getting dropped, Timmins isnt ahead of Byram, and if the Avs make trades it'll be for a 3c so Compher won't be the 3c.

Get LA to take Compher instead of one of the others (preferably Beaucage) and I would do that one. Bernie for a third is maybe ok too (depends on what's up with Francouz). I'd pass on the others.

Iafallo is expected to re-sign with LA, Bernier is hurt and shouldn't cost that much anyhow.

Compher and a 1st for Iafello is a crazy over pay for a 100% rental, Beaucage may be a player but the hole in his game is the worst hole in your game to have, especially in the current NHL.

Compher has been probably the worst forward on the team. He needs a change, and not too many teams can take him. It's not so much about winning the trade as it is setting the team up for the present and future.

As for Beaucage, my guess is he amounts to nothing in the NHL. He's a guy I'd like to keep though, as if he can improve his skating he could go boom.

No doubt Compher has been bad this year but he isn’t a throw away, NHL GM’s aren’t nearly as fickle as fans and in particular ACGM’s.

I agree but the reason I move him is to get salary off. Him and then Graves to Seattle means the team can keep Saad. Otherwise I don't think they can.

If salary wasn't an issue, I'd be happy to keep JT. He's better than what he's shown thus far. 3.5 in a flat cap environment is tough though.

I don’t necessarily disagree, and I think 100% Seattle takes Graves or Compher and honestly I wouldn’t be shocked if it is Compher because of his ability to play C and I’m sure Seattle will roll the dice trying to get a C.
