Really is too bad for Timmins, in his time he didn’t play great but then McDonald came in and played amazing and you just can’t take him out of the lineup.

Goalies don't have a lot of trade value.

avs already made their move for a goalie.

no way florida trades driedger when theyre 2nd in the league and only 2 points behind tampa. they are crushing it.

Yeah, I don't see them shipping him out but I wouldn't say the Avs already made their move unless they expect Frankie back somewhat soon because if Gru goes down they'll be in a world of hurt. JJ is only a "solution" to the issue of Miska being almost entirely incapable of stopping pucks. He most certainly should not be seen as a quality backup they can play regularly to give Gru more rest.

Obviously don’t agree on everything but this is the right take, and Timmins is worth much more than a back up goal tender that would have to be exposed and is only going to re-signed if they move on from Frankie.

He's been up and down in his rookie season but if I'm the Avs, I don't trade Timmins for two reasons: 1) he's still young and has room to grow plus his upside is pretty good. 2) need to have reliable guys in case of injury

If he continues to develop and they decide down the road that he doesn't fit in, he could have some real trade value to fill a need on wing or at C. He's also not going to cost much to keep so better to hang on to him.

Love to see them go after Driedger in free agency somehow if they move on from Frankie, but I'd keep Timmins and try going that way myself. I don't see FLA trading him atm. The JJ trade would suggest Frankie will be back at some point this season though which would make Driedger superfluous this year.

I don’t think this happens this year but next season if Barron and helleson look like they’re going to be able to play I think he gets moved for a forward.

welp, since all my ideas come from BSN... they hinted at this on the last pod: Timmins being moved at this year's deadline.

I mean no one really knows other than Sakic, they can hint at whatever they want doesn’t mean it’s gonna happen.
