Everyone sending Pettersson to Seattle now eh? Makes sense if we dont wanna lose Blueger/McCann. I would prefer to trade Zucker before the expansion draft, protect Blueger and McCann and then trade Pettersson afterwards. We would lose ZAR probably, but it might be a better outcome.. idk..

Mostly because we have a huge log jam with LHD. This is why I didn't understand why GMJR traded for Matheson. With POJ most likely NHL ready next season we need to move someone and Pettersson just seems the odd man out with Matheson contract probably being to difficult to move.

Yeah I think hes gone regardless, but I think there might be smarter to go about it.

odds Seattle takes ZAR are low. He's got 7 points. 6 of them are goals, but off hand I think that's like 2 fluke goals and I think 2 empty netters.
There is no way that's the choice.
Blueger has the same issues. I like these guys but they are 4th liners. Blueger had 22 points last year, he was doing a little better this year, but if he's out long term....it ends up all the same.

I agree. I think we protect Pettersson, but trade him after expansion. I said an option is to trade Zucker before the expansion so we can protect McCann and Blueger and then we would end up losing one of Tanev, ZAR or DeSmith probably.

I don't think they take ZAR he's got 7 points this year and those aren't even great points, on top of it he's injured a lot.

Tanev is an interesting option for them to be honest. But he'll be 30 with 4 years on that deal. With his style of play you have to wonder what you will get in the end of that contract. You might be taking on 2 good years and 2 bad. I think most people don't suggest him due to the contract but he's clearly an option. But I also think this team cuts a deal before losing Tanev.

Well if anything its better for us that we arent losing anyone crazy.
