As a leafs fan, how do you feel about Kerfoot? Im a canucks fan and never understood it, Kadri>>>Kerfoot. I had seen enough Avs games to know the type of player kerfoot was. That trade was bad on the day it happend, so is Kerfoot just a solid 3rd line guy?

He could step in on the second line for a game or 2

Joe Thornton is better than Bobby Ryan. Easily.

They also got Barrie...The idea was that, since they had JT, the need for a 3C and a RD was higher than just having Kadri at 3C. Barrie ended up being misused for the better part of his Toronto stay (And wasnt really was the Leafs needed...), and is now back to thriving in an offensive D role in Edmonton.

Both are slow, might as well just use Thornton for his leadership and not waste a pick on Bobby Ryan

I would believe Columbus would accept but not sure they would be interested in the cap dumps while retaining.

    Thank you.

Tired of seeing just the direct comparison of Kadri and Kerfoot as judgment for how the trade turned out.

Trade didn't work, but at least it isn't the worst one a Leafs GM has made.

I feel like people also forget that the large portion of fans that now find themselves hating Nylander, were also en route to ACC with pitchforks and large rocks to make sure Kadri never played another game for the Leafs after the 2nd playoff suspension.

Kadri was a very good player for the Leafs, and he brought a fun element to the game that was enjoyable to watch, but at the end of the day, Matthews/Tavares>Matthews/Kadri, regardless of how you value the contracts.

Columbus could do MUCH BETTER than this if they were moving those guys. Especially if they were willing to retain half of Domi's salary for next season!

Dude you really comparing a Center to a Winger? Over the course of their careers Thornton has hardly been much better then Bobby Ryan.

Come on now. Career wise, it's not even close, Thornton is WAY better career wise. With that said, the original comment is WAY off - at this stage of both of their respective careers, Bobby Ryan is a better player then Thornton. Thornton's numbers are inflated from playing on a great team, whereas Ryan's are negatively impacted by playing on a terrible team, but I guarantee the VAST majority of GMs would take Ryan over Thornton right now and it wouldn't even be close.

    No he isn't.

    Ryan: 13pts in 29 games
    Jumbo: 12pts in 20 games

Joes stats may be inflated because of the people hes playing with, but in my mind joe thornton is better than bobby ryan.

Not just because im a leafs fan, i've always like thornton.

    Agree to disagree.
