Quick on that deal. Rather die than swallow that horrendous deal. Even with LA retaining.

Yeah doubtful Carter and Qucik are going to be the difference makers and bringing a cup home to Toronto. If anything Quick has been trending down these last few seasons.

Quick doesn't move the needle on goaltending.

That is exactly the same thing being said.....when the Leafs acquire Red Kellly from the Wings and went on the win multi-cups in Toronto.

Very reasonable contract with LA retaining......and Anderson gone.

You are talking about a pressure goalie who has actually won 2 Stanley Cups.........yes, I think that does move the needle up over Anderson who has not even backstopped the team to one playoff round win.

Quicks last best season was the 2015/2016 NHL season when he won 40 games, But since then has been pretty meh. just don't see him being the Leafs saving grace.

He's 35 and has clearly declined since the cup wins. They were 7 and 9 years ago, as well.

I suggest you watch the 2018 playoff series against Vegas. Quick was the best player on either team, allowing only 7 goals all series despite getting shelled by a better Vegas team. Fleury only had to make routine saves for the entire series.

I know everyone is down on Freddie, but he and Quick have identical stats this year. Leafs pass on Quick and keep free cap next year and their prospects.
Ane Carter....OK but he's a 40 point player in a 82 game season, not worth giving so much.

Maybe.......but Leafs are going to pull the trigger on a trade like this in the near future.

Quick is an improvement over Andersen cuz, per NHL.com/stats, during March, Quick is 48th in GAA and 59th in SV% while, Andersen is 57th in GAA and 61st in SV% but has appeared in more games. This proves that Quick is the better G right now.
