At this level of an offer - it should be Gardiner cap dump in the trade instead of Foegele. Even with that, the possible two first would along with an A & B prospect is pretty unprecedented.

The dude hasn’t hit 40pts yet in a a season and you’re offering 2 high end former 1st round prospects, a 1st, a top 9 roster forward and a conditional 1st.

As a fan of both AZ and CAR...YES I think these are good trade partners for sure!

The catch is that AZ is very cheap. Sometimes they don't even make money pre-COVID. I don't think any cap going to AZ would make sense...i.e...you'll need to pay ALOT more. It's kinda like asking Melynk to spend money... They have however lost a lot of draft capital and prospects due to Chayka being a cheater... I can definitely see them taking this package. Garland is a fast and physical forward. He's better than Turbo and more physical. IMO he's the closest thing to Marchand the NHL has if that helps understand who he is.

Yes it is a bit much for garland but you would need to overpay for him. imo also if there was a cap dump it would be skjei. i think its an overpay and i think they r good trade partners but az would need an overpay to move their best forward. u call it overrated but i have liked his play since i first saw him play last year and he has really come into his own. i would say its worth it. foegs is there so they get a roster player back and the first, A prospect (suzuki), b prospect (bokk) should be enough but u have to account for the fact its az so it would need that conditional first

Just go watch the kid play. It's not like @Hurricanes73 is a die hard AZ fan... you're got two people that actually watch him play telling you...he's very good. Turbo is also a good player. Let's be real though...Aho drives that line. Not Turbo. Garland drives his line and drafted 3 years after Turbo. This is a perfect match for CAR.

I don’t doubt he’s good. However, I think it’s ridiculous to say he’s better than an established 60-70pt scorer. There’s a reason CAR’s offense has struggled since Teravainen got hurt.

I also think the offer from the OP is an absurd overpay for a player yet to hit 40pts.

You keep saying 40 like his ppg isn't .83 right now. He doesn't have the luxury on quality teammates nor quality linemates.

Will he hit 40 before getting hurt? Who knows.

i wouldnt say garland is better but his style of play would go better in Carolina than turbos but turbo is the better player no question

imo garland is more valuable cuz they can resign him for longer and he's an RFA
