Description

Can someone PLEASE explain why Leo Komarov (a player who was waived and cleared multiple times) is the first option to get shifted with barzal in this lineup? It’s not like these have been the lines all season prior to Lees injury. The lines have been mixed and matched but Leo slots in line one? Where’s the rationale?

I think it was a comment on the althletic that I saw, but they made a good point that Komarov on the first line might give barzal a bit more incentive to carry the puck straight then east/west. With bellows on the line he tried to be too fancy again and messed with his game. Having Komarov there, he acts like a very bad Lee and just becomes a net front presence cause there's not much else he can do. Almost like a decoy for the other team to give Barzy more space.

With that said I fully disagree with Komarov being up there, but trotz is a stanley cup winning coach and I'm sipping margaritas on the beach so what the hell do I know.
