We have no need for Stall. We already have enough LD in rotation

Jake Bean and Carolina's 2021 1st round pick for Anthony Mantha is a freaking joke, Noway is that enough for Mantha Bean isn't that good there's noway Yzerman accepts that and it's not from the Atlantic either. And even if the 2021 3rd round pick wasn't conditional it's still not enough. Anyways Detroit declines there's no freaking way Carolina can add Mantha and be able to give Hamilton and Svechnikov big money.

What did I just read? Jake Bean is half a point a game, and Anthony Mantha has a grand total of 15 points. Bean has 5 less, DESPITE BEING CAROLINA'S NUMBER 7 D MAN! This trade is a joke, but NOT the way you think it is. Carolina should not trade a player who is ON PACE TO OUTSCORE MANTHA IF THEY PLAY THE SAME NUMBER OF GAMES for him!

I honestly think Mantha stays in Detroit. I don't know if any of you read The Athletic part of an article where current NHL executives weigh in on some potential trades.

15. Red Wings send Anthony Mantha to the Carolina Hurricanes for Jake Bean, a 2021 first-round pick and a 2022 conditional third.

There’s a sense among people in hockey that Detroit GM Steve Yzerman is open to just about anything shy of trading Dylan Larkin or top prospects. That led to the talented but occasionally frustrating Mantha as the centerpiece to a slew of trade proposals. This one isn’t bad, especially considering Bean might be lost in the expansion draft this summer.

Exec: “It makes sense for both teams for me. I think you’re adding more offense in Carolina with an opportunity to score goals. And Detroit, they have this youth movement going with getting young players. Jake Bean would be a great addition to it. To me, that’s a potential hockey deal.”

I'm still deciding how I feel about it.

The Bean for Mantha trade is NOT from the Athletic. It’s from an anonymous Twitter rando who happened to send in a proposal to the Athletic.

You are kind of right with that statement. He isn't anonymous they do include his Twitter handle. The Athletic did receive a lot of trade submissions but the staff at the Athletic picked out the most interesting ones.

Oilers have no need for Helm, I don't think he would get a more than a 6th.
