If Arizona gave up 3 prospects, a 1st and a 3rd for Hall, then a lone 1st for Hall is more than fair.

I'd be okay trading for Taylor Hall, but it's going to take more than that. First off, a contract would have to go the other way to Buffalo. They would also more than likely have to retain half of Hall's salary. Lastly, it's going to be a bidding war for Hall from numerous teams, more than likely gonna take a first round pick.

Well that's exactly why they suck then. There's no way Hall is resigning, and if he is traded then the team that gets him would have him for about 25 games at most as well as taking on that huge cap hit. I would think a 2nd would be generous. He's scored 2 goals this season, remember.

But that was when Hall was playing well and had about 3x as many games left on his contract than he does now. That trade was also terrible for Arizona.

He scored 2 goals this season because he's playing for a team experiencing a winter apocalypse.

He'll produce more on a better team, guaranteed.

bruins need a goalscorer right? thats obviously need number 1. regardless of what the players value is... why would they send their arguable best trade chip for a guy who has scored 18 goals in his last 95 games played? to put that into comparison... jake debrusk has 22 goals in 86 games.

of these names are any available? this would be the type of player im looking to get:
j.t. miller 23 5 on 5 goals in 102 games
adam henrique 25 5 on 5 goals in 100 games (dont love his contract but might be able to get ducks to either take moore back or retain a little?)
elias lindholm 23 5 on 5 goals in 103 games
chris kreider 22 in 94 (dont love the huge contract he just signed but will be good for at least the next couple years)
Timo meier 22 in 98 (dont see this happening but you never know)
logan couture 21 in 82
filip forsberg 19 in 95
kevin labanc 19 in 100
Kevin fiala 18 in 91
dustin brown 18 in 95
Laine 18 in 92

For reference taylor hall has 10 5 on 5 goals in 95 games...

That's the point! I can't see why he'd want to resign in Buffalo, so he has no value for the Sabers except if they traded him. And when they do trade him, it will probably be for like a 3rd with the Sabers having to retain salary. He has 20 GAMES left on his contract. If he does really well he'd score about 15 points in those 20 games. Would you trade a 1st round pick for someone who will score 15 points for your team?

he would have 20 games + the playoffs. If the bruins succeed in the playoffs with hall on their team, then it wouldn’t matter how many points he got in the regular season. Last trade deadline, the Tampa bay lightning spent two first round picks and a blue chip prospect to bring in Blake Coleman and Barclay goodrow of all people. And you know what happened? They won the cup. As long as you win the Stanley cup and you deliver profit to your shareholders, nothing else matters :/
