I mean Barzal got a 7m x 3 and Hughes will be gettin 1.5m more than Sergachev and McAvoy

Really? I think those are pretty fair bridge deals. Barzal is a good comparable for Pettersson and this deal is extremely similar.

I think the bigger problem is offering these contracts to Pettersson and hughes but offering an 8 year deal to Demko. Imo Demko should be on a bridge deal 2 or 3 years

Most of the sports radio hosts in VAN, some of whom are well connected with player agents, seem to think Hughes will get between 6-6.5 and Pettersson between 7-7.5.
I don't think these numbers are far off at all.
