Yup, and this is why the Pens aren't a fit. We just don't have the prospects and picks to get a guy like Reinhart without damaging our roster. I would still like Staal though.

Very true, but his point is why would Buffalo sell low on one of the few franchise pieces they have? He gets a 1st and a blue chip prospect from any team in the league.

Exactly my point. No incentive from BUF standpoint unless the return includes a mix of those guys; which PIT just doesn't do. Maybe in the summer there would be a fit for Reino but I think BUF could get a better deal elsewhere.

On Staal: it seems like a lock to CAR regardless of return, barring a team offering a 2nd/3rd. New GM trying to earn a good rep, former teammates, Staal reunion in CAR. Just makes sense
