Was it Price, Gallagher or Subban who committed 10 Mil of his salary to the Children's Hospital and even after he was traded he still visits the hospital when he is in town and is still paying the 1 Mil every season! He is exactly the type of Leader that this team needs. One who not only comes to the defense of his players but has the integrity to back up off ice commitments even though he was traded. I have never heard of Weber donating a million dollars to any charity (it does not mean he hasn't) and you NEVER see him come to the defense of his teammates on the ice, hence the reason that Chiarot is out with a broken hand right now.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Subban and the devotion he had towards the team, and he was beloved by almost all habs fans. There is many example and story, coming from players and former coaches that suggested that there was friction in the locker room...

especially when the management had the brilliant idea to make the players vote for the new captain of the team... THAT really killed the locker room and created division. So yeah, Subban alone didn't do that.
