The trades are all super unfair to the sens and then theres the one trade where obviously us canes fans get screwed and give up Paquette and a 3rd for an old, overpaid bottom pair Dman.

Are you insane? Chabot is a beast on horrible team. He was the piece Sakic really really wanted in the Duchene trade but Drouin wouldn’t. Girard and Chabot taking up 1/3 of the dcorp for $9M a year for the next 7 years, the Avs could do SOOO many things. I’m not doing it straight up but if somebody is dumb enough to retain half for 8 years do it.

That literally lets you pay Makar and Byram (assuming he reaches his potential) in the $9-11 range and still have an affordable defense. It’s totally unrealistic because OTT would never retain $4M a year for 8 years I was just embracing the madness.
