I personally think Laine will want out of Columbus. Canucks should capitalize on it.

Canucks trade 2 firsts, 2nd and Virtanen. I personally think that's fair amount

And for those saying Canucks would have to give petey boeser or hughes, all 3 are better than laine so keep dreaming. This pick package allows Columbus to start their rebuild in style

Just a pet peeve - why doesn't this site have an ability to choose Seattle for next season yet? Or just a generic NHL landing spot, that people can choose if they aren't targeting specific players/teams? Kinda like the NHL shield to build an AGM from scratch.

I'm curious if this 3 year contract for Laine makes him a UFA afterwards. I'd be surprised if he took another short term deal. If you can convince Petey and Hughes to take short term deals, this is a good looking team for a few years.

IMO not enough. They gave up PLD to get laine, not sure they’re going to want two firsts and a middle six guy for laine. I have a feeling if VAN was interested in Laine that Columbus would be asking for Podkolzin and a 1st. That’s just my personal opinion, doesn’t mean I think it’s fair, just what I see CBJ asking from VAN
