Pens pass. Our defense depth is already good and Montour wouldn’t fit in over Letang, Marino, or Ceci who is playing really good.

I'd actually decline. Olofsson is a good player but he's soft. Don't need anymore in Brian Burke's words ( soft skill ). Wood is someone you need in the playoffs.

Kings-Buffalo Trade

Remove - Turcotte

Remove - Jokiharju and Laaksonen

Then Kings accept. No way they trade top 2 offensive prospects and arguable 1st or 2nd best Defensive Prospect.

I like your creativity on the Skinner for Karlsson trade. Maybe if the Sabres made enough other moves it'd be enough for Karlsson to waive his NMC. In a vacuum though I think the Sharks are closer to contending than the Sabres are and Karlsson probably likes the weather in San Jose better than Buffalo no offense haha.

But again, I like the creativity. The "trade a bad contract for a bad contract" is something we've seen among NHL GM's for a while now and maybe that's the Jeff Skinner solution.

Lol @ Buffalo fans that think they’ll get both byfield and turcotte. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a return that didn’t include either of them, or just one of them and little to nothing else.
Buffalo is looking for 3-4 1st rounders or previous first rounders that are doing well. Now, would a team accept a 15th and 16th overall for the 1st overall pick? No, exactly why the prospects Buffalo fans want have more than just a simple “1st round value”.
The most probable return is one similar to what Columbus got for Nash. Remember, their original ask from the rangers was chris kreider, Dubinsky (2c/3c), another good prospect and a 1st. They ended up getting Dubinsky (2c), Anisimov (3c), Erixon (former 1st rounder 21 yrs old playing in ahl), and a late 1st round pick.

Nash was 26 years old, had 5 30 goal seasons and 2 40 goal seasons to his name, as well as multiple 60+ point seasons on an absolutely terrible Columbus team.

He requested the trade yes, but not one top asset was gotten for the “franchise player” for Columbus. Rangers didn’t have to give up Stepan, mcdonagh, kreider or del zotto (top assets for rangers at the time).

Will they get more than Columbus got for Nash? Probably but not in the amount people think.

Minnesota isn't the one adding in a Dumba for Reinhart swap. But it's a moot point because Minnesota isn't making that swap in the first place.

Karlsson is still much better than Skinner. Vlasic for Skinner is the only swap SJ would be willing to discuss.

Eichel is good... but he’s not worth two future elite forwards, future top 4 defenseman, and a second round. I won’t even include Carter.
