That was one of the worst trades in isles history. Pelech and pulock having Norris caliber impacts this year makes it easier to stomach, but it still sucks. Pelech-pulock, toews-Dobson would have been the best D core in the league

Instead Makar, Girard, Toews, Byram will assume that mantel.

In all seriousness though, Toews has been so damn good. He's not going anywhere for quite a while.

Yeah that’s entering Nashville territory with 4 #1 D. Pelech and pulock are #1s but it will be another year before Dobson gets to that level.

Toews is a great Dman. Not flashy but he’s effective.

Byram certainly isn't there yet either, but I have been encouraged by how mature his game is. Girard, Makar and Toews are there though, and Toews is the grandpa at barely 27.

I didn’t make the ACGM. Despite the fact that the isles are killing it this season doesn’t take away from the fact that they have away a #1 D in his prime for scraps
