How does this even remotely make sense for the Hawks ??????? KASE is ltir practically the whole season , after this he is rfa making 2.6 to qualify his rights the hawks would have to give him a ten percent raise he hits almost 3 mil . ( he is not worth it ) . why would the hawks retain two mil for the rest of this year and all of next season for nothing in return ?????? In effect because of the retained 2mil for next season the hawks would be paying 5 mil in cap space for Kase . ALSO THE HAWKS CAN NOT PROTECT KASE FOR THE EXPANSION DRAFT WHERE THEY MIGHT LOSE HIM FOR NOTHING . SO LIKE I SAID THIS TRADE MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE FOR THE HAWKS AND WILL NEVER HAPPEN . STANBO WOULD BE RUN OUT OF TOWN FOR THIS . MININUM RETURN A 2ND ROUNDER PLUS TO DUMP HIS CONTRACT HE IS ON LTIR

Lol dude relax. It’s just an ACGM. I saw it as a cap dump for Chicago. Like you said. They get rid of Kase the following year. Nothing on their books. Lol

You can not retain salary for only one year . DeHaan is under contract for next season hawks would be stuck with the 2 mil retained for next season aswell . DeHaan is a good defender Hawks will trade him at the deadline or he will be taken in the expansion draft .

That's fine, plenty of other teams would want ryan, it's not really a big deal

Not for a 3rd and a player. He’s been useless since 3rd game of the season.

Yeah watch him play and you won't think that. He will get at least a 3rd. I can care less if we take bjork or is barely an nhl player anyway. I'm fine with just the 3rd

Not much defensively, does not kill penalties, not much of checker, 2 goals in 27 games since game 3. Outside of being cheap both financially and trade cost, what’s the allure?

Top 10 in blocks and top 10 in hits in the league. I don't tell myself anything, the expert analysts and writers do that for me; thanks for your uneducated opinion though

38th in hits is not top 10. Your math sucks. Better get someone else to tell you your opinion, your experts failed you.

Top 10 in hits amongst D men which IS his position (also 29th including forwards not 38th genius).

To call De Haan a cap dump is asinine and pure ignorance. Try watching a team outside of the bruins once in awhile if you want to debate the value of other team's players.

It’s was 38th the other day. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lot better ways to spend 4m.

Lol, i watch every team play.

Bustin your balls somewhat. No way i want him at 4m with term tho, injury prone and no offense at all.
