To answer your question, it's both. The Sens are a terrible team defensively, and while they've improved in recent weeks, they were absolutely atrocious to start the season and basically gave Murray no shot most of the time he was in. But at the same time, Murray has also cost the team a good chunk of games. His positioning has been wildly inconsistent, and you can tell in five minutes if he's going to **** the bed just by watching his glove hand. He's given them good enough goaltending some nights, but he's never come close to stealing games like Daccord and Gustavsson have in very small samples. I think he'll be better when he returns, but I don't think even the "good" Matt Murray we've seen has been worth what they're paying him.
