Honestly would you make this trade if you were the sharks? If they're a train wreck why would they trade a better player for a worse player with no other incentive(s) as well as retain? I know how this deal makes us better but how does this deal make them better?

So they're moving an underpaid (which means a lot to the Sharks) high quality 2c, borderline 1c, a former 35 goal 75 point scorer... for someone who is just not. You make no sense lmao
