Devils probably accept. What's with Sabres fans trading Olofsson?

No point in Montreal doing that. I’m pretty sure they’d rather keep their guys.
Maybe a habs fan can help me out here ?

A few of these make no sense.

Why trade Olofsson?
Or Dahlin?

You're right. They should try to win with this same group again next year.

It's not about the players, everything comes from above, from the owners.

This team is far worse than the group that started this season and that's saying something

Being a team up against the cap we'll put an high value on ELCs and in that trade we're sending 4 year of them away plus 4 bridge deal years, that's not ideal. If they're doing this trade it puts the team 3.7M$ over the cap and looking at the team it'd say it's a side move considering all the guys going back are roster players (Caufield will be in the upcoming weeks) so wouldn't make much sense. If Montreal's showing interest picks and further away prospects would make way more sense for a team wanting to compete now otherwise you're basically sending your second line to get a better 1C so how's that suppose to help?
Eichel's great but I've always been on the side thinking that he's a part of the problem in Buffalo so I wouldn't do this trade but that's my personal view of it.

I hate to agree with a Leafs fan, but yeah... MTL would rather keep these 3 players... for the same cap as Eichel (and lower for another 3 years). It's rare that you are going to see a trade for a player of that caliber with 3 players coming back for 1.

A team that has 6 wins and has been shut out 7 times apparently has enough offense to throw away a guy with 31goals in 92 career games. A guy that makes 3m a year under team control mind you. To be fair, he is a black hole 5v5, and i dont expect a ton from my wingers on the defensive side, which is good because olofsson doesnt give you much defensively. I think buffalo fans liked randy wood, and his kid seems to have all the speed his old man had, with more tough. Its not like we couldnt use wood, we definitely could use more speed and toughness, but for a team absolutely starving for goals it feels very wrong.

Absolutely we would rather keep our guys because added together they probably out preform Eichel and we cant afford his contract anyway.

I don't get it. The first 2 trades are heavily in your favour and your blowing it by making trades that are heavily in the other teams favour.

Love Dahlin and it’ll take something like that to get him which I think is unfortunately too much for the kings.

Caufield is showing signs of becoming the next Ovechkin, he's not getting traded, period.

I don't even think Marc Bergevin would do the trade 1 for 1.
