bc of the prospect? maybe swap Wilde for bellows or a lesser player?

The isles don’t need Buffalo to retain because lee is on LTIR. They can take the full salary, the most I can see Lou giving up for hall is bellows and a 2nd , maybe another mid rd pick as well.

I know the isles are really high on wilde, he’s not untouchable but I can’t see him getting traded for a rental

i dont see Hall getting less than a 1st but i do agree with you that his value is a 2nd and a prospect

Several writers have already said that it is highly unlikely Hall gets a first. His play this year has hit his value hard.

The issue to me is the two firsts are in the 21 draft class, which seems to be weak with no top end talent. Maybe if rossi rebounds we can circle back, but if its me, this doesnt do it.

Reinhart has a worse attitude than Eichel, if Eichels gone Reinharts not signing for 5 years

The draft i think might surprise a few people. getting talented players is half the battle....developing is the most important. If Buffalo can find the right people to help develop the youth they should be fine. I do agree that there is too much uncertainty going back to Buffalo but the NHL is a risk/reward type league.

Since when have players with 2 goals been going for 1st round picks? Because that is what hall is this year also totally different year way way way way less buyers so costs are going way down on players

2018 He was the league MVP with 93 points
2019 he was hurt but had 37 points in 33 games
2020 he had 52 points in 65 games
this year he has 17 points in 32 games on a terrible Buffalo team...... like i said his past history would be why he gets a big return imo. Unless you think every NHL GM thinks hall sucks now.. ? teams want to win... its not crazy to think he could fetch a late 1st

Yeah and like I said he is a 2 goal player now I did not say anything about past performance. Also as a Buffalo fan you should know past performance dose not mean anything when looking at current and or future performance just look at Lyle okposo. Also here is a line from the athletic from an NHL executive “I don’t know what pick they’re getting to do it. Maybe a second? They’re not getting a first,” said one executive.

Parise and Suter are probably considered bad cap but no way Sabres take either of them back. If Wild make a Eichel deal it will need to involve moving Dumba and Rask IMO.

im not a Buffalo fan but Skinner is probably the most obvious past performance player i can think of that hasnt panned out. Staal just got a 3rd and a 5th.... hes a 3 goal guy but only has 10 points.. Athletic is a clown show depending on who is writing the article.

It was Craig Custance who said it also Freedman has said it same with Pierre Lebrun as well as Dave pangnata

Wild still give Suter the #1D title, he is still solid but they have been reducing his minutes. The Wild pretty much roll their D these days.

I’m not discrediting all of the athletic but some writers are heavy bias/ clowns. I think is realistic value is a 2nd + but I would be shocked if he doesn’t get a 1st. NHL is the only sport that doesn’t value 1st round picks imo

Spur and Brodin are studs. Dumba and Suter are also really good. They have an underrated D imo

Yes he then goes on to say it’s unlikely tho due to the lack of buyers use the whole quote not just the part that fits your narrative
