You’re not getting a 1 for Hall and isles definitely pass on that trade for Reinhart

Reinhart is better than both the pieces in that trade by a lot. Hall will probably get a first

Reinhardt is better than beau but not by much. The difference is definitely not a 1st and Reinhardts numbers will take a hit in trotz system

You think Trotz's system is more restrictive than the complete anarchy and lack of direction in Buffalo lol

penguins trade is fair I think they would do that.
He'd be playing 4th line for PIT, considering they are going to play the Buzzsaw line like a 3rd line. They won't spend a ton on building a 4th line.

Multiple people have said it! On top of multiple people saying it and reporting it there is this from the athletic “I don’t know what pick they’re getting to do it. Maybe a second? They’re not getting a first,” said one executive. So even nhl EXECUTIVES are saying he will not be getting a 1st rounder

Hall-staal-Reinhardt have played together this season (92 min). I’m not doubting Reinhardt is better than beau, but it’s not by much. I would trade beau + 2nd , but for this trade we’ll gladly keep beau. He’s been one of our best players over the last month

Reinhart is not better than beau by a lot. Also beau is part of our best line right now and trading him for someone who is only moderately better is only going to mess up the chemistry of the team. Trading leddy would also leave a massive hole on the defense and our depth at that position is relatively thin and we certainly ain’t giving up first rounders for guys who won’t make our team better. Also why would we give up a first for hall when he has less goals than Matt Martin? I get that Buffalo sucks but someone of his caliber shouldn’t be producing like a fourth liner no matter how bad his teammates are. He’s the type of guy that’s supposed to make his teammates better and he hasn’t done that at all.

No but he ain’t producing like someone you’d give up a first for plus his production has been declining these past few years

Yes it has look at his stats since he won the mvp. We have plenty of options at the deadline and we need goal scoring. We aren’t trading a first for someone who produces less than our fourth line players and it seems no one else wants to either. It’s a buyers market and hall has been atrocious.

You ignore the fact that’s he’s clearly been declining since his peak and he’s been atrocious this year

Im not ignoring it, its not true, youre just repeating hearsay. Hes still nearly a point per game player. Im not even a big fan of Hall, i didnt want the Sabres to trade for him, and im not sure I want them to resign him, but im not just going to make up facts to discredit him. He scores points on bad teams, but is too expensive to go to an established roster. Hes a nearly point per game player on his career

Making up facts? Look at his stats over the last 3 seasons he’s clearly declining and he’s been atrocious this year. You’re making up hearsay. No one is taking a risk by trading a first round pick for a declining player in a buyers market.

I gave you his stats, the only thing it shows is that he got hurt 2 years ago, no drop off at all
