Weegar's too important for Panthers run right now. They'd need an immediate replacement D, and Dermott's simply not good enough.

It would cost a lot because he's a really good Dman and it's also pure conjecture that Dubas turned that trade down, as far as I know.

Kinda dumb to actually know if Dubas actually turned down a viable trade proposal.
As indicated by folks above, Panthers don't really have any motivation to trade players off their roster, and really the Leafs don't either.
